Toastie with pear and brie


  • 1/2 Migo® pear

  • 4 slices of bacon

  • 2 spring onions

  • 150 g brie

  • 30 g walnuts

  • 4 thick slices of wholewheat (sourdough) bread

  • 30 g soft butter

  • Preparation time: 30 minutes

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Lay the slices of bacon side by side on a sheet of baking paper on a baking tray and cover with a second sheet of baking paper. Press flat and cook the bacon in the oven for 10 minutes.
  2. Use a melon scoop to remove the core from the Migo® pear half and slice it thinly. Cut the spring onion into rings, the brie into thin slices and roughly chop the walnuts.
  3. Butter the slices of bread on both sides. Layer 2 sandwiches with slices of pear, bacon, slices of brie, walnuts and spring onion. Top with a slice of bread.
  4. Fry the toasties two at a time for about 10 minutes in a frying pan over a low temperature with the lid on. Turn over half-way through.
